What the analyst said
Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C.J.
Muse reiterated an Overweight rating and $300 price target on Broadcom Limited (NASDAQ: AVGO).
“Following more muted expectations post-MRVL’s report, AVGO reported a strong beat and raise (results/guide revs/EPS combined of $29.8B/$3.16 vs. cons $29.3B/$3.01), driving shares materially higher post-close.”
“At the heart of the beat were AI Semiconductor revenues of $4.1B (growing +77% Y/Y and above our estimated $3.9B) combined with April Q AI revenue guide of $4.4B (growing 7% Q/Q and 31% Y/Y and above our estimated $4.1B).
Investors were poised for a pause in 1HCY25 followed by a Google TPU led ramp in 2HCY25. Instead, numbers are moving up today with acceleration of AI revenues still on track into the second half.”
“Infrastructure Software revenues outpaced expectations in both the quarter and guide, driven by VMware as customers migrate to full subscription and embrace full-stack VCF as they virtualize their entire data centers.
Add it all up, and this was a solid report and well above investor expectations.”
