What the analyst said
HSBC analyst Frank Lee raised the price target on Broadcom Limited (NASDAQ: AVGO) to $240 (from $225) while maintaining a Hold rating.
“3QFY25 revenue guidance of USD15.8bn is up 5% q-o-q and 3% above our estimate of USD15.3bn but in-line with consensus of USD15.8bn.
3QFY25 AI revenue guidance of USD5.1bn is up 16% q-o-q and ahead of our estimate of USD4.6bn and consensus of USD4.7bn, led by stronger ASIC q-o-q growth of 35% as AI networking revenue is expected to decline to 30% of AI revenues (from 40% in 2QFY25).
Non-AI semiconductor revenue and infrastructure software revenue are expected to remain flat q-o-q.
3QFY25 GM guidance of 78.1% is down 135bp due to a higher ASIC mix but is above our estimate of 77.1% and consensus of 77.6%.”
