What the analyst said

Erste Group analyst Hans Engel upgraded Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) from Sell to Hold.

“Intel is currently undergoing a period of transformation. Recently, Intel has achieved success with its own manufacturing technology, which has enabled it to increase production speed.

NVIDIA and Broadcom are already testing this production platform.

NVIDIA recently announced a USD 5 billion investment in Intel and a collaboration to jointly develop data center and PC products.

If Intel succeeds in winning additional semiconductor companies as customers for its contract manufacturing services, the group should return to profitability in the medium term.”
