What the analyst said
Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore reiterated an Equalweight rating and $260 price target on AMD (NASDAQ: AMD).
“Thoughts on the stock: The real issue here then is that the stock is going to be binary around AI market share in our view, and a 5 year single point earnings model doesn’t really capture the richness of that debate.
We knew all of that coming into this meeting, and it didn’t change our mind at all – we need to hear more broad acceptance of MI450 from hyperscalers to underwrite the current share price given recent share price appreciation.
That keeps us EW.”
