Stifel analyst Ruben Roy reiterated a Buy rating and $250 price target on NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA).
“Last week, Groq announced that it has entered into a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Nvidia for Groq’s inference technology.
As part of the agreement, Groq Founder and President, Jonathan Ross and Sunny Madra, respectively, and other members of the technology team will join NVDA.
Groq will continue to operate as an independent company under CEO Simon Edwards and Groq’s Cloud offering is expected to operate without interruption.
While NVDA did not publicly comment, and no official filings or press releases have disclosed transaction details, various reports have cited a $20bn strategic transaction value for the licensing agreement and talent acquisition.
The deal structure appears similar to NVDA’s transaction with Enfabrica earlier this year.”
