Mizuho analyst Lloyd Walmsley lowered the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.

(NASDAQ: META) to $750 (from $835) while maintaining an Outperform rating.

“We are buyers on the dip and expect near-term compute monetization product.

Meta failed to deliver on definitive plans to sell compute, today.

But we think (1) they delivered across the board elsewhere, in our view, and (2) suggested on AI monetization they would have “more to share on all of this soon”.

Ad revenue ex-FX growth accelerated 60bps on the two-year stack and the high end of the rev guide implies 4ppts of sequential acceleration in 3Q.

On the cost side, they only raised ’26 guide to incorporate a legal fine in 2Q, and did not raise the high end of capex, so no impact on ’27.

We expect several new monetization paths for AI including selling compute, a new coding product, selling access via API, and scaling Business AIs (largely not in #s).

We trim our PT to $750 on peer multiple contraction.”
