BofA Securities Reiterates Buy on Meta, $810 PT
BofA Securities analyst Justin Post reiterated a Buy rating and $810 price target on Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ: META).
“We believe the settlement reduces regulatory uncertainty, concerns on a large jury verdict, and will enable Meta stock to better reflect AI catalysts ahead.
From here, we expect stock sentiment to benefit from multiple AI announcements that could help justify AI spend.
Over the next 6 months we expect: 1) a personal AI product launch, 2) top tier LLM launch, 3) AI model licensing deals, 4) AI capacity deal, and 5) messaging ad monetization platforms.
Street sentiment on Meta AI investments and ability to develop a compelling Personal AI product seems negative, so a strong offering could reshape AI views.
Finally, Google’s YouTube, will likely see pressure to implement similar teen safety measures and contribute to the State teen-safety fund and, although Snap was not included among the platforms subject to Meta’s contingent settlement conditions, the agreement will likely increase pressure on Snap to adopt additional teen-safety.
Reacting to the news Snap stock was down ~9% (vs flat S&P).”
