What the analyst said
Goldman Sachs analyst James Schneider reiterated a Buy rating and $300 price target on NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA).
“We attended CEO Jensen Huang’s GTC Berlin keynote.
Although we expect little immediate stock impact from the event, we believe Nvidia’s message reinforced our view that AI deployments remain on track for the foreseeable future, as the company is taking steps to ensure supply chain preparedness while providing tools to help the ecosystem address safety and security concerns tied to agentic AI.
We have three key investment takeaways.
First, Nvidia’s customers – including hyperscalers and neoclouds – are realizing strong unit economics from today’s datacenter deployments, and the company is helping partners cut deployment timelines while driving operating efficiencies.
Second, Nvidia is focused on helping increase safety and security of AI agents – particularly in the enterprise – by providing hardware/software solutions to lock down unauthorized use.
Third, Nvidia continues to diversify its revenue stream toward physical AI – with its 1HFY27 revenue of $11B well ahead of all of FY26.
We maintain our Buy rating as we continue to see a positive catalyst path for the stock, including greater visibility into AI datacenter deployments as Nvidia narrows the supply/demand gap while driving strong capital returns (~$235bn in buybacks authorized).”
