What the analyst said

Stifel analyst Brian Chin lowered the price target on KLA Corporation (NASDAQ: KLAC) to $230 (from $250) while maintaining a Buy rating.

“KLA earnings quelled any fears of intensifying supply chain constraints with F1Q(Sept) results and F2Q(Dec) guide above ours/cons. estimates, reflecting sequential revenue growth in the low-mid teens and overall calendar 2H growth of +25% over 1H and +46% YY.

OpMs were a record 46.1%. Recall that optics remain a key longer-lead time component for KLA inspection/metrology systems, which did cause growth to lag initially this year.

For CY26, semi process control system revenue is on track to approach +30% YY growth, with service growing at roughly half this rate (mid-teens).

Overall, we believe KLA should be better positioned in CY27 as WFE remains even more biased toward advanced logic/foundry and DRAM greenfield expansions where process control intensity is either highest or improving.

We maintain our Buy-rating. F1Q(Sept) revenue/EPS (non-GAAP) $4.14B/$1.22, versus our $4.03B/$1.16, cons. $4.04B/$1.19, guide $3.8-4.2B/$1.06-1.26 ($4.0B/$1.16 mid-pt).”
