What the analyst said
Mizuho analyst Vijay Rakesh lowered the price target on AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) to $650 (from $705) while maintaining an Outperform rating.
“AMD reported a solid SepQ and guided DecQ up 27% to $17.0B (above consensus $16.3B).
Key highlights: 1) guided DecQ with DC/Embedded up 50%/DD% q/q though noted client/gaming both down >20% q/q, 2) Server CPUs 100% y/y in 2027E, as agentic AI demand remains strong, while also seeing strength from head nodes, 3) AMD sees total revs up >80% in 2027E, driven by DC/embedded and noted it remains supply constrained on the DC side, and 4) Helios ramp underway at major CSP/LLM customers, with strong customer demand as it is seeing traction for MI500/600.
Maintain Outperform, Adjust Estimates and PT to $650 from $705, ~37x P/E F27E, as AMD remains a key AI enabler with strong agentic CPU tailwinds and ramping GPUs with multi-GW deployments ahead.”
