What the analyst said
Wedbush analyst Scott Devitt raised the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.
(NASDAQ: META) to $770 (from $700) while maintaining an Outperform rating.
“Shares are trading for ~26x our revised 2026E GAAP EPS estimate, and we think the risk/reward is attractive given healthy fundamentals and optionality related to future AI monetization.
Our estimates for 1Q and 2025 move modestly lower after results, reflecting FX headwinds and a faster pace of expense growth.
Still, we are encouraged by the strength of the underlying business on an FX-neutral basis and the continued progress being made on long-term strategic initiatives.
Over time, Meta has the opportunity to monetize its AI assistant, Meta AI (which now has 700mm MAUs), expand AI agents for businesses, drive deeper automation of advertiser tools & creative, and further integrate genAI capabilities in Meta hardware products.
We think Meta is a dynamic AI play with a large and growing user base of over 3.3B DAUs, leading foundation models, and an emerging AI product roadmap across Family of Apps and Reality Labs.”
