What the analyst said

Stifel analyst Ruben Roy reiterated a Buy rating and $132 price target on AMD (NASDAQ: AMD)

“In addition to formally launching the Instinct MI350 GPUs and platforms, AMD provided a highlevel preview of the next generation MI400 GPUs and an AI rack level solution, Helios.

AMD also remains committed to matching NVDA’s annual rhythm of launching new GPU architecture, which will extend to an MI500 Series in 2027.

As has been the case at previous AI events, AMD continues to emphasise its focus on, and the benefits of, an open AI ecosystem and a continued focus on inference workloads, which management noted are expected to drive the overall AI accelerator TAM faster than training over the next several years.

With respect to the overall accelerator market size, AMD now expects a greater than $500bn accelerator TAM by 2028, up from the company’s previous estimate of $500bn.

We continue to view AMD’s product roadmap execution positively with expectations for continued traction in tier-1 AI infrastructure deployments.”
