Cantor Fitzgerald Reiterates Neutral Rating on Alphabet Ahead of EU Deadline
Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Jonathan Ruykhaver reiterated a Neutral rating on Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL).
“The EU has set a February 10, 2026 deadline for its decision on the antitrust review of Google’s (GOOGL, N) $32B acquisition of Wiz (private), a best of breed CNAPP vendor.
The transaction cleared US antitrust review in November 2025.
While Wiz has stated it will remain multi cloud, with continued support across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud, concerns persist that integration with competing platforms could weaken over time, making it harder for customers to maintain multi cloud deployments.
There are also questions around whether Wiz’s work with other cloud platforms could give Google indirect visibility into competitor roadmaps.
The European Commission is currently in Phase I of its investigation, where ~90% of cases are resolved, but a move to Phase II could extend the review process by an additional ~4 to 5 months.
Google’s ownership of Wiz could accelerate consolidation in cloud security.”
