Jefferies Lowers General Motors Price Target to $90
Jefferies analyst Philippe Houchois lowered the price target on General Motors (NYSE: GM) to $90.00 (from $97.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
“GM – HOLD, PT $90 – We expect a slow start to 2026 but, keeping in mind how conservative FY guidance felt when initially presented, we make only modest revisions to FY earnings.
When it reports Q1, we expect GM will maintain guidance in the upper part of its $13-15bn range, and take FY EBIT down 3% to $14.3bn maintaining the ability to balance cash returns and re-investment.
Post write-downs, GM has maintained a more balanced exposure to EV and affordable models in addition to its exposure to the Full-size US oligopoly.
We expect Q1 revenue $41.7bn including NA $35.1bn, -6% y/y, adj EBIT $2.85bn / 6.8% margin, down 18% y/y and seasonally weak cash flow at -ve $400m.”
