What the analyst said
RBC Capital analyst Tom Narayan lowered the price target on General Motors (NYSE: GM) to $98 (from $102) while maintaining an Outperform rating.
“Buy on Weakness; Q3 results were solid, with GMNA margins expanding meaningfully y/y and a $20B share buyback announcement reinforcing mgmt’s confidence in the earnings trajectory and its view that the stock remains undervalued.
That said, we are resetting ’27 expectations, as rising commodity and logistics cost inflation reduces our Adj. EBIT estimate by ~$1B, now up only slightly y/y.
We lower our PT by only $4 to $98 given strong buyback activity and reiterate our Outperform rating.”
