What the analyst said
Morgan Stanley analyst Andrew Percoco lowered the price target on General Motors (NYSE: GM) to $95 (from $101) while maintaining an Overweight rating.
“Yesterday’s stock reaction was overblown in our view. GM hit 3Q expectations, reiterated/raised aspects of its 2026 guidance, and announced a $20bn share buyback.
The softer 2027 outlook, which is primarily a result of a higher commodity backdrop, should have been broadly expected. Reiterate OW.”
