Goldman Sachs Lowers Meta Price Target to $830
Goldman Sachs analyst Eric Sheridan lowered the price target on Meta (NASDAQ: META) to $830.00 (from $840.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
“With its Q1’26 earnings report, META mgmt framed a few key narratives: 1) organizational focus on deeply integrating AI both internally and externally; 2) a strong set of results with reported revenues just inside the high end of the guided range; 3) mixed forward commentary with solid revenue forecasts for Q2 2026 and a raise in 2026 capex due to rising input costs; 4) highlighted the release of the Muse Spark model as evidence that the company’s AI lab efforts are progressing toward personal superintelligence; & 5) reiterated focus on long-term investments to support its multi-year vision for how the computing landscape might evolve.
Near-term, we expect that investors might continue to scrutinize META for evidence of a return from its AI efforts to provide greater level of comfort around the depth & duration of the investment cycle.
Over the long term, we continue to see META mgmt as focused squarely on the core building blocks of growth around operating themes at the intersection of AI and spatial computing.
We reiterate our Buy rating and adjust our 12-month price target from $840 to $830 as we update our operating estimates for this earnings report.”
