What the analyst said
Baird analyst Colin Sebastian reiterated an Outperform rating and $830 price target on Meta Platforms Inc.
(NASDAQ: META).
“Revisiting our positive thesis on META; our view has been the high costs of AI infrastructure/platform build-out are embedded in expectations while potential incremental revenue benefits generally are not.
We believe this view is gaining traction, particularly with Meta’s expanding business agents, upgrades to Meta AI and the core ad platform, and with longer-term potential for cloud/AI services that leverage accelerated custom silicon initiatives.
We expect solid Q2 results despite some intra quarter volatility, and that the gravitational pull of Meta’s FoA will sustain market share consolidation.”
