Needham Reiterates Hold Rating on Meta
Needham analyst Laura Martin reiterated a Hold rating on Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ: META).
“What we liked least about 2Q26: a) SBC/FTE reached $356,840, an all-time high; b) FCF was about break-even in 2Q, and falling; c) rapily rising principal payments on fixed leases from off-BS financing with BlackRock, Blue Owl, etc; c) strategy diffusion/confusion accelerating via new Enterprise AI product vision; d) equity offering required; and, e) litigation & regulatory risks abound.
We retain our Hold until META convinces investors that it can deliver high enough ROICs soon enough to justify higher CapX and rising off-balance sheet funding.”
