What the analyst said
Evercore ISI analyst Mark Mahaney reiterated an Outperform rating and $860 price target on Meta Platforms Inc.
(NASDAQ: META).
“Our View: We reiterate our Outperform rating on META and $860 PT in the wake of the launch of Meta’s new personal AI agent, Muse.
Per Meta, Muse “doesn’t just answer questions, it actually does the work.
It helps people stay on top of things, takes tasks and projects off their plate, and turns long-term goals into action plans.” That sounds helpful, doesn’t it?
The key for us on the stock here is that we believe it’s a probability (>50% chance) that Meta can successfully roll out AI agents to both consumers (the 3.6B daily users it has) and to small businesses (the perhaps 15MM globally that currently commercially reside on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp), winning both material adoption and monetization over time.”
