Stifel Reiterates Buy on NVIDIA, $282 PT
Stifel analyst Ruben Roy reiterated a Buy rating and $282 price target on NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) on August 19, 2026.
“We reiterate our Buy rating/$282 TP into F2Q27 results on 8/26 and continue to expect a beat/raise.
Earnings season has consistently reinforced the demand case that we made in our broader coverage preview as CSP capex was raised meaningfully, Foxconn’s cloud and networking segment crossed 50% of revenue for the first time with full-year AI rack shipments guided to more than double, and Supermicro booked over $60bn of new orders in a single quarter.
Our optical coverage companies refuted the CPO delay narrative and, importantly, our supply chain conversations indicate that GB300 demand remains sustainable into 1H27 even as Vera Rubin ramps, which we think reduces an air-pocket risk that has come up in our investor conversations.
We think that the other primary debates, memory cost and inference competition are likely to be expressed in gross margin rather than demand and, we believe, are partly reflected in the multiple.”
