Yorkville Ives analyst Dan Ives initiates coverage on Meta Platforms Inc.

(NASDAQ: META) with an Outperform rating and a price target of $900.

“We are initiating coverage on META with an OUTPERFORM rating and a $900 price target.

We believe Meta is evolving from the world’s largest social platform into a distribution layer for consumer and business AI, with the new Muse personal agent providing the clearest expression of that opportunity.

Muse does not merely answer questions; it can plan and execute tasks across the services people use, remember preferences, and advance longer-term goals.

It is powered by Muse Spark and runs inside a dedicated Muse Secure VM, with a separate Sentinel agent that must approve anything Muse sends to the internet and users retaining control over connected applications, permissions, and sensitive approvals.

This architecture matters because usefulness alone will not determine the winning personal agent; trust, persistent context, and the ability to act safely across services will be equally critical.

Meta’s principal advantage is distribution.

The company reaches 3.60 billion people daily across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Threads, allowing it to place Muse inside products consumers already use rather than requiring a new behavior or costly customer acquisition.

Muse is available through its own app and inside WhatsApp and is expected to extend to AI glasses, creating a path across text, visual, and eventually ambient computing interfaces.

Meta One, launched globally on September 15, adds a direct monetization layer through higher AI usage and premium features, with more than 15 million subscriptions and trials to date.

We also see optionality in commerce, business messaging, creator tools, and enterprise agents as Muse and Meta’s business assistants connect user intent with merchants and workflows.

While adoption remains early, Meta’s combination of model capability, secure execution, and broad installed-base reach gives Muse a credible opportunity to become a daily consumer utility and opens revenue pools beyond advertising.”
