What the analyst said
KeyBanc analyst Jackson Ader raised the price target on Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) to $630 (from $600) while maintaining an Overweight rating.
“The three key areas that we are focused on all showed meaningful upside, and the momentum in those areas is expected to continue for the remainder of the year.
Azure is set to top 50% growth at a $125B+ run-rate, the Copilot business is driving acceleration in the M365 line, and capex is shifting around but at least is holding steady in terms of the dollars needed to fund this growth.
Not to mention GAAP EBIT margins continue to benefit from operating expense moderation and a better pricing environment for the major businesses; we are raising our estimates and price target to $630.”
