What the analyst said
DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria lowered the price target on Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) to $300 (from $350) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
“Alphabet reported a rare top and bottom line miss which reflect the timing of hardware expenses associated with scaling the TPU business and weaker than expected search revenue, partially offset by strong cloud growth.
With a significant ramp in capex expected from current levels through ’27 and additional funding posing a near term overhang, we are maintaining our NEUTRAL rating and lowering out PT to $300 based on 21x our updated FY27 EPS estimate.”
