What the analyst said

Goldman Sachs analyst Eric Sheridan raised the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.

(NASDAQ: META) to $765 (from $688) while maintaining a Buy rating.

“We recap META’s Q4’24 earnings report, which was a strong set of earnings across revenues (both Q4 & Q1 guide) and operating income (incl. Family of Apps EBIT margins of ~60%).

Management commentary indicated 2025 will be a year of continued scaling of user engagement and monetization across its core properties, rising AI utility and product development.

META mgmt remains more focused on long-term opportunities (artificial intelligence & Reality Labs) and aligning investments across a world-class compute infrastructure, open-source software initiatives and a raised range of forward capex.

We continue to see META as well-positioned against several long-term secular growth themes and are encouraged by the positive momentum across key product initiatives incl.

Reels, click-to-messaging Ads and AI including Advantage+ adoption.”
