What the analyst said
Mizuho analyst Vijay Rakesh lowered the price target on Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) to $20 (from $21) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
“INTC reported a good DecQ and guided to a softer MarQ at $12.2B (cons. $12.8B).
Key to note: 1) MarQ guided down ~15% q/q with CCG and DCAI down equally, 2) AI roadmap falling further behind, pushed out to 2027 w/Jaguar Shores (cons AI revs AMD ~$10–12B, NVDA ~$182B), 3) DecQ GMs 42.1% and MarQ down 620bps q/q to 36% with 2025E pressured by external foundry, and 4) DC challenges with soft roadmap for Granite Rapids, and Clearwater Forest launch in 1H26E uncertain.Maintaining Neutral, Lower Ests/PT to $20 (prior $21).
We believe INTC continues to see challenges in the PC/Server market, as we note positives from CHIPS Act/SCIP offsetting higher capex payments as it starts to ramp 18A with Panther Lake and searches for new leadership.”
