What the analyst said

Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Thomas Blakey raised the price target on Palantir Technologies Inc.

(NASDAQ: PLTR) to $98 (from $72) while maintaining a Neutral rating.

“We reiterate our Neutral rating and raise our PT to $98 from $72 on PLTR shares following a strong 4Q24 beat and raise.

The U.S. is leading the charge, with upside from both Commercial and Government, and we were impressed with the ramp in new customer accounts, which we attribute to continued success with Ontology but also driven by Palantir’s AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform), its low-code, AI app, AI agent dev platform.

Scale is a bear thesis point (i.e., mix of Services vs. Software) and Palantir posted a Rule of 81 (rev growth + OM%) in 4Q24 and Rule of 68 for CY24.

We continue to view Palantir as a leader in AI, and with its notion of quantified exceptionalism as well as our positive checks corroborating said quantifiable improvements, we believe Palantir is early in its journey of transforming industries and governments with its enterprise software and services offering.

Our new PT is $98, or 50x CY26E EV/Rev (vs. 40x, previously), compared to broader software trading at ~8x, supporting our Neutral rating on PLTR shares.”
