What the analyst said

Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Thomas Blakey raised the price target on Palantir Technologies Inc.

(NASDAQ: PLTR) to $110 (from $98) while maintaining a Neutral rating.

“Palantir reported solid 1Q25 results with total revenue beating Visible Alpha consensus by 2.5%, driven by strength in US Commercial (10% beat) and total Government (5% beat).

The level of upside was less than last quarter (7%) with soft results from international revenues particularly in overseas commercial (16% miss) as Palantir continues to see headwinds around Europe, which management alleges “is going through a very structural change and doesn’t quite get AI.” Net customer additions slowed to 58 from 82 in 4Q24 as 1Q is a seasonally slower quarter and given the international slowdown with 1 net new international customer vs 11/12 in 1Q24/4Q24.

Customer y/y growth rates broadly slowed in 1Q25 with total customers growing 39% vs 43% in 4Q24 and US commercial customers’ growth decelerating to 65% y/y from 73% in 4Q24.

Again, we highlight 1Q is a seasonally weaker quarter, and our conversation with management implied solid visibility (more growth from existing customers in 2HC25 vs. new logos) and prudent guide in US government.

Further, we expect stabilization in int’l commercial for the remainder of C25. Margin was a source of upside with EBIT margin 44% beating consensus 42% and FCF margin 42% beating consensus 32%.

Palantir’s strong results indicate continued strong investment from global organizations in leveraging AI to improve both business outcomes and operational efficiencies.

The company is well positioned to benefit from these trends, in our view, supporting continued dynamic growth.

We maintain our Neutral rating, based mainly on valuation, and raise our PT to $110 from $98 PT on 1Q25 strength and guidance raise.”
