What the analyst said

Citi analyst Christopher Danely reiterated a Buy rating and $220 price target on Broadcom Limited (NASDAQ: AVGO).

“Broadcom reported solid results and guided above Consensus driven by continued AI strength (27% of F25 sales) with two new AI engagements.

Gross margins were above Consensus due to mix and we continue to believe strength from the AI semi business will offset any downside from sanctions on Bytedance and RF share loss at Apple.

We reiterate our Buy rating on AVGO given upside from AI and $220 price target. AI strength should offset risks from Bytedance and Wi-Fi share loss.

AVGO announced two new AI engagements and highlighted those shipments for two other AI engagements, which we believe are Apple and OpenAI, are on track for tape outs by the end of this year.

We continue to see upside to AVGO’s AI business through the year, and expect the strength offset any downside risks from Bytedance sanctions (roughly 2% of F25 sales) or loss of wireless share at Apple (roughly 2% of F25 sales).”
