What the analyst said

BofA Securities analyst Vivek Arya raised the price target on Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) to $25 (from $23) while maintaining a Neutral rating.

“INTC reports Q2 result on July 24.

Read-throughs point to: 1) Q2 CPU likely in-line to better on tariff related pull-ins; 2) but 2H could be sub-seasonal as benefits reverse, while PC unit expectations above-seasonal (200bps/500bps in Q3/Q4) and new Panther Lake products not volume ramping until 2026; and 3) Enterprise tone generally better (HPE enterprise up double-digit YoY).

Overall, we expect in-line to better Q2 on pull-ins and a higher mix of older-gen/margin-accretive products, but tougher 2H outlook as these tariff/mix benefits reverse.

Beyond n-t, Foundry/18A progress may drive the stock, with GM particularly dependent on the ramp timing of Panther Lake (PC) and Clearwater Forest (server).

If INTC manages to ramp its long-awaited Panther Lake on time in late2025, GM could recover more quickly back to 38-39%+ vs. 37-38% consensus for 2H.”
