What the analyst said

Rosenblatt analyst Barton Crockett raised the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.

(NASDAQ: META) to $1,086 (from $918) while maintaining a Buy rating.

“Meta’s 2Q25 is turning out to be a pivotal quarter, with dramatically stepped up investment plans paired with accelerated growth.

We see the return of +20% ad growth, (on a line that was $160B in 2024), supporting capex trending towards $100B.

So we maintain our BUY rating, and take our price target up 18% to $1,086, which is an EV of 20x 2026E Adj. EBITDA, supported by an estimated 24% EBITDA CAGR.

EBITDA — a measure associated with capital intensive industries — that we believe is becoming the more appropriate measure of core cash flow for Meta than EPS, operating income, or free cash flow, because capex today seems likely to a) generate a return tomorrow, and b) level out eventually, after the current stair step.”
