What the analyst said

Piper Sandler analyst Thomas Champion lowered the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.

(NASDAQ: META) to $840 (from $880) while maintaining an Overweight rating.

“3Q results were again very very impressive, but shares will likely be pressured by the expense commentary for ’26.

Despite raised revenue forecasts we project flat op income in ’26 and FCF will likely be down again. But, we remain bullish on ad model investments like GEM, Lattice, and Andromeda.

The macro looks fine, and we expect management to toggle back opex & capex expectations through 2026 (raising EPS & FCF). We’d be buyers on weakness tomorrow.

Our ’26 revenues / EBITDA estimates move +3%/-7% while PT moves to $840 (from $880), reiterate OW.”
