Piper Sandler analyst Alexander Potter raised the price target on Ford (NYSE: F) to $17 (from $16) while maintaining an Overweight rating.

“Hiking PT & Staying OW After Q2; We are reiterating our Overweight rating after Ford posted another beat/raise in Q2. The shares are indicated higher by ~4% after-hours.

There’s “noise” in the full-year numbers (e.g. commodity inflation, battery factory ramp-up costs, aluminum supplier restart timing, EV charges, tariff refunds, etc.), but stripping all this out, Ford’s underlying business is performing well.

Our estimates are rising not because of one-time items, but because of steady demand for high-margin vehicles, as well as an ongoing contribution from lower warranty costs and higher software/services revenue (these latter two items are key pillars of our thesis).

Our price target remains based on 8x FY27E EPS, but due to higher estimates, we now value Ford at $17/share, up from $16 previously.”
