What the analyst said

Mizuho analyst Lloyd Walmsley raised the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.

(NASDAQ: META) to $950 (from $750) while maintaining an Outperform rating.

“We increase our target price to $950 as we roll to ’28 estimates and tweak up our multiple reflecting more confidence in top line sustainability.

Shares may struggle to work meaningfully into a potential equity raise in early 2027, with somewhat of a cost overhang, but we broadly believe long-term investors should feel considerably better on fundamentals and Muse monetization, which appears to be on pace to scale faster than previous product cycles.

Our fears that ’27 costs would move up ahead of revs did not play out, yet. We increase revs and costs.

The most important thing we learned was a path where free Muse users could share data back to Family of Apps to “improve the personalization and quality of content and ads across Meta,” which we see as the most rapid way to scale monetization of Muse.”
