What the analyst said
Stifel analyst Ruben Roy reiterated a Hold rating and $24.50 price target on Intel (NASDAQ: INTC).
“Intel delivered a solid F2Q25, beating on revenue ($12.9B vs. $11.9B consensus) and adj-EPS ex-impairments ($0.10 vs. $0.01), though onetime charges weighed on reported results.
While F3Q guidance was mixed, investor focus remains on CEO Lip-Bu Tan’s long-term strategic vision.
Key priorities include ramping 18A/14A nodes, with 18A to ramp in 2H25 and underpin multiple generations into the 2030s.
There was a lack of clarity, however, tied to 14A which is weighing on the stock.
We think management is leaning on the side of conservatism for now, until they have more clarity themselves, but until details around 14A are communicated, we imagine it will continue to act as an overhang, as it could prolong Foundry recovery.
We are otherwise broadly encouraged by the early actions being taken by management and their longer-term vision to drive INTC’s turnaround.
We maintain our Hold rating and $24.50 target price, awaiting clearer execution milestones.”
