What the analyst said

Stifel analyst Ruben Roy reiterated a Hold rating and $21 price target on Intel (NASDAQ: INTC).

“We attended Intel’s Foundry Direct Connect 2025 Conference in San Jose, where the company provided updates on progress across its process and packaging technologies and medium-term strategy.

CEO Lip-Bu Tan kicked off the Keynote presentation emphasizing INTC’s commitment to the foundry business.

While there is much work/execution ahead, we were encouraged with the focus on embracing a wideranging group of ecosystem partners, an engineering first culture, and strategic investments on technologies that are fit to meet customer needs.

Within this backdrop, INTC acknowledged that improvements in responsiveness and predictability would be prerequisites to longerterm success.

In terms of derivative takes, we continue to believe that our covered EDA companies, CDNS ($302.22, Buy) and SNPS ($460.77, Buy), are well positioned to benefit from increasing emphasis on IP and enablement of digital design flows.”
