What the analyst said
Morgan Stanley analyst Brian Nowak raised the price target on Meta Platforms Inc.
(NASDAQ: META) to $850 (from $750) while maintaining an Overweight rating.
“Super Core and Superintelligence… and More to Come: META’s 2Q results and 3Q guide speak to how continued GPU-enabled algorithmic improvements and advances are driving even better-than-expected lifts to engagement and monetization… as our ‘25/’26 revenue estimates rise by ~3%/4%. ’25/’26 EPS rises by 5%/9%.
META’s investment is stepping up (in core and long-term projects)… but the continuously improving core can fund this… while also driving higher profitability.
Bottom line, we are left with higher near-term (1-, 2-, 3-year) profitability and a growing list of long-term optionalities for further core growth (engagement and/or monetization improvements, content creation tools, Meta AI, search, business agents, devices, etc.) or superintelligence/GenAI to drive even longer growth.
We raise base case to $850 (9% upside) and our bull case rises to $1,100 (41% upside)… which implies paying ~31X our bull case ’26 EPS.”
