What the analyst said
Stifel analyst Mark Kelley reiterated a Buy rating and $900 price target on Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ: META).
“Earlier tonight (9/17), we watched the keynote address for Meta’s Annual Connect conference, with presentations from Zuck and Boz that highlighted the new slate of Meta AI glasses (new generation of Meta Ray-Ban, Oakley Meta Vanguard), including a new glasses product (Meta RayBan Display) with in-lens display overlay and an interactive neural interface (similar to the Project Orion demo last year).
The Horizon ecosystem was also discussed, with agentic capabilities added to Horizon Studio & a new Horizon Engine.
TV is also coming to the Horizon platform, with content from Disney, Amazon, and Universal as anchor partners.
Quick thoughts are (1) $799 for the RB Display is a wildly attainable price point for the amount of tech baked into the product (despite some live demo issues), and (2) maybe Meta is skipping CTV and is going straight to vTV for its longterm TV strategy?
Developer Keynote is today… more to come.”
