What the analyst said
RBC Capital analyst Srini Pajjuri lowered the price target on Arm Holdings (NASDAQ: ARM) to $300 (from $340) while maintaining an Outperform rating.
“ARM’s results and outlook were a bit better. Licensing was stronger driven by new ATA and CSS agreements.
Management secured additional supply for AGI CPU and now has higher confidence in achieving upside to its $1b+ revenue projection (although stopped short of officially raising guidance).
On the other hand, Royalty revenue was weaker despite doubling of data center royalties, due to continued Android weakness.
We are tweaking our estimates slightly and see sizable upside potential as management updates AGI CPU forecasts (demand ~$2B) in the coming quarters.
We are optimistic that smartphone market is approaching a bottom and view ARM as an outsized beneficiary from AgenticAI-driven CPU growth.
We lower PT from $340 to $300 due to recent multiple contraction in the sector and reiterate Outperform.”
