What the analyst said

Benchmark analyst Cody Acree raised the price target on Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) to $50 (from $43) while maintaining a Buy rating.

“With a healthy macro computing environment, where customer demand is outstripping supply driven largely by the growth of AI infrastructure spending and the adoption of AI PCs, plus the industry’s better than expected transition to Windows 11, Intel delivered a strong September performance, its fourth consecutive quarter of upside results to guidance andits first return to profitability after six consecutive quarters of GAAP losses.

Broadly, Intel is expecting industry compute demand to outpace its ability to fully supply well into 2026, across both its Client and Data Center AI businesses, with particular capacity constraints being seen across the company’s older process nodes of Intel 10 and 7, where Intel is not adding additional resources in anticipation of the transition to its more advanced nodes of Intel 3 and 4, as well as 18A and eventually 14A.”
