What the analyst said

KeyBanc analyst John Vinh reiterated a Sector Weight rating on AMD (NASDAQ: AMD).

“Strong Results and Guidance Driven by Growth in Server CPU and MI355; AMD posted strong 3Q results and 4Q guidance.

Upside in the quarter and guide was driven by strong Data Center revs, which grew 22% y/y from both strong server CPU (Turin) and AI GPUs (MI355).

Looking into 4Q, AMD guided for strong server CPU growth, as well as continued growth of MI355.

Additionally, AMD noted that it has not recognized any China (MI308) revenues in its results and guidance. While AMD is no longer breaking out its AI GPUs revs, we’re modeling $6.7B in revs in 2025.

We’re encouraged by these strong results ahead of the analyst event and are updating our ests. Maintain SW.”
