What the analyst said
Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Andres Sheppard reiterated an Overweight rating and $485 price target on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA).
“The company will offer three roadster variants: a road-focused Performance configuration, plus two augmented trims called Thrust and Rocket (currently invite-only), via a $5,000 reservation fee, followed by $245,000 (due within 10 days).
While we found the demonstration to be breathtaking, we don’t view the roadster unveil as overly material to the bottom-line, particularly since the vehicle won’t be “street legal,” and given the company did not provide granularity on production expectations.”
