Baird analyst Ben Kallo lowered the price target on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) to $440 (from $480) while maintaining an Outperform rating.
“TSLA’s Q4 results missed our/consensus estimates for most key metrics despite a record quarter for deliveries and Energy volumes.
No mention was given in the earnings deck or on the call regarding the 20%-30% volume growth Musk mentioned on the Q3 call.
We expect deliveries (and margin) to be choppy throughout the year as TSLA ramps the refreshed Model Y and launches a more affordable vehicle(s).
We continue to view TSLA as a core holding but note valuation will likely remain one of the key bear arguments in the near-term.”
