What the analyst said
Truist Securities analyst Youssef Squali reiterated a Buy rating and $880 price target on Meta Platforms Inc.
(NASDAQ: META).
“We attended Meta Connect 2025 yesterday in San Francisco where CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlighted the company’s latest AI smart glasses and future metaverse ambitions.
We walked away incrementally positive on the long-term growth prospects of the company as the new line-up of wearables comes to strengthen Meta’s emerging AI-enabled hardware and software eco-system, which while small today carry big potential, in our view.
For Meta’s smart glasses, which it has developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica (ESLOY, NR), the company introduced new products for each of the Ray-Ban and Oakley brands, as well as the revolutionary Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses – the first AI glasses with a high resolution display built-in and a neural network interface.
While the financial impact of these product introductions will not be material to Meta nearterm given its massive ad revenue base, building up its portfolio of AI-powered wearables, making notable progress on VR and neural network technology, on new argentic developer tools, and on a new content hub should help Meta’s vision of the metaverse become a reality over time.”
