What the analyst said
Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Andres Sheppard reiterated an Overweight rating and $485 price target on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA).
“Elon previously disclosed that Tesla and SpaceX have formed special committees (at the request of shareholders) to discuss a potential merger.
While Elon also previously disclosed that he views it as a good idea (would require ~50% TSLA Shareholder approval), the company did not comment further on the TSLA call.
In our opinion, we view an ultimate merger as likely. We Reiterate our OW rating and our $485 PT are Unchanged.”
